Teacher Workshop with Simone Davies
March 26, 2019 from 4 to 6 p.m. | Free
4600 Bissonnet St., Bellaire, Texas 77401
Montessori teachers and assistants are invited to a workshop with author Simone Davies. This two part-workshop includes:
Part 1: 10 ways to enrich your Montessori toddler practices
Let’s dive into the things that actually happen in our toddler communities and discuss how to manage them. We’ll explore 10 things that come up often, like what concentration looks like for a toddler, when to step in to correct a child and when to allow them to continue exploration, and how to be kind and clear in setting limits.
Part 2: How to engage busy parents and strengthen your community
When parents are pulled in so many directions, how can we help them learn about Montessori and to apply it at home to support our work in the classroom? Simone will explore with us ways to reach any parent, from parent workshops to using newsletters and social media as an opportunity for parent education and engagement. In addition, we’ll look at ways we can make this fit into our already busy weeks.
